I was born in a country that no longer exists. On the border of two Europes, East and West between the ancient Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires. I believe I carry with me a piece of each of these worlds. I was attracted to theater since I was a small child. I can still remember when a Cuban singer who came to our village and invited me on stage. I was barely five years old, but I knew then what I wanted to do with my future. I first started acting in elementary school. But life is full of surprises, some good and some bad. I was 14 years old, preparing to enter what was then the best animation school in the country, when war broke up and crushed not only my artistic aspirations, but also the entire country. I had my first interaction with cinema in Bucharest. I’d shoot short films with friends, students at the Academy of Theater and Film. After years in the Balkans, I decided to search for new experiences elsewhere. My first stop was Berlin. There I discovered the world of underground theater and cinema. I worked on several short films, plays and performances with a group of friends from all over the world. Later I’d move on to Barcelona, the city by the sea, and my home till today. My life brought me back to the path I started on years ago in the country that no longer exists. More than a decade of theater, puppetry, performance and underground film have given me the tools to quickly adapt to the conventional TV and film world. At present, I work with great directors and producers of Spain. The dreams of the child who climbed up on stage are beginning to come alive. My greatest desire is to continue making films, and expand my carreer internationally. And above all, to always believe in my dreams.
